On Saturday 5th March members attended a Batik workshop. It was great fun learning new skills.
Members climbed Salisbury Cathedral Tower to do some sketching -the first time this has ever been done!
did a wonderful demonstration on Sunday 10th January 2016 on how to paint portraits in watercolour.
On sunday 6th December, Fordingbridge artclub members attended their christmas party at the Avonway centre.
A great time was had by all!
GRAHAM OLIVER'S WORKSHOP A GREAT SUCCESS
On Saturday 14th November Graham Oliver came to do a pastel workshop for Fordingbridge Art Club. Seven people attended and created two wonderful pastel paintigs under his guidance. Thank you Graham.
Demonstration by Linsdey Cole
Lindsey Cole enthralled all with her demonstration of Landscapes with acrylic texture
9 members came to Riverside Park, Fordingbridge on October 18th to sketch the bridge and surrounding area.
It was great fun and the weather was dry and mild. A lot was achieved in 2 hours.
MONDAY 5TH OCTOBER
The renowned artist Ken Howard made a rare visit to Fordingbridge in order to talk to Fordingbridge Art Club about his life and work.
He gave a very animated and at times hilarious account of his life and work and welcome advice on painting and drawing.
The event was attended by 60 people, some guests and some members and was very well recieved by all.
At the end Ken signed books he had brought with him and chatted to his audience. It was a wonderful evening.
Watercolour Workshop with Sue Finniss
On Saturday 12th September Sue Finniss held a watercolour workshop in Woodfalls and Morgans Vale Village hall. Everyone had a very good day learning about the use of perspective and tone and created some stunning artwork.
Plein Air at Hengistbury Head
On Saturday 27th June Angela Corben ran a plein air day down at Hengistbury head. It was a good day. Passers-by came and chatted and admired the paintings as they were being created.
