'THE ANATOMY OF PAINTING' - A TALK BY MARTIN KINNEAR RCA
Every painting tells a story - not only on the surface but deep within its layers. -
Award-winning painter and Royal College of Art lecturer Martin Kinnear will unpack the hidden structure of paintings - from pigments and mediums to perception and meaning - showing how understanding a picture's anatomy transforms the way we see and create art.
Martin will explain how pigments, mediums and surfaces interact and why certain techniques produce such distinctive light and texture and what makes paintings work.
