​Many of my pieces are inspired by the North Cornwall coast where I spent much of my childhood. I now live in the New Forest where I have also found inspiration.

Paintings show us emotion and are not just a visual representation. In my work I try to enter into a place in my memory and convey the feelings it evokes.

 

I like the viewer to own the picture themselves by stopping and putting a part of themselves into it and let it envelope them. My pictures are contemplative as well as decorative.

 

It is good to stop, leave your worries behind and enter into a different world for a few moments.
