Sheila Etherington
I retired to my dream thatched cottage in the New Forest. Up until retirement, family and work commitments meant I did not have sufficient time to paint but, having excelled in art in my teens, I am now enjoying creating art again.
I spend as much time as I can in my beautiful garden and summer house where I have the perfect light and inspiration for painting.
After taking refresher lessons with local artists I now paint prolifically. My subject matters encompass land and seascapes, street scenes and still life, and portraits, many inspired by travels in Southern Europe, the USA and Canada.
Commissioned work - I take commissions and have painted memories for people from photographs or descriptions.
If you have a particular view, person or place in mind that you would like me to commemorate for you please get in touch.
